Traditional BLDC motors use physical Hall-effect sensors to determine the angular position of the rotor. Under harsh industrial conditions, these sensors can degrade over time due to high temperatures or vibrations. Zonix Motor's advanced engineering team is developing sensorless FOC controllers that use back-electromotive force (Back-EMF) algorithms to track position. This approach reduces overall wiring complexity, enhances water resistance, and lowers electromagnetic interference (EMI).
To produce high torque from miniature motors, our manufacturing team uses sintered Neodymium Iron Boron (NdFeB) magnets. We balance magnet grades (such as N35, N52, or high-temperature SH and EH series) to allow our motors to run at elevated ambient temperatures without demagnetization. This design choice is especially valuable in high-temperature industrial environments found across Southern Vietnam.
